“Poppycock, John, sheer poppycock,” Father chided, his face a mix of amusement and exasperation. “The boy’s imagination runs wild.”
“But Father, I speak the truth! A strange light appeared yonder in the field!”
His friends, skeptical, exchanged glances. “Off with you now, John,” he dismissed me.
Defiant, I ventured out into the night. Approaching the field, hushed, unfamiliar voices reached me, sending shivers down my spine.
“What the fuck century is this, Moon?”
